wuz up...noting much here,
just read ur message and i wanted 2 clarify that there IS a hip-hop church, it's called CROSSOVER...the pastor goes by the name"urban D", or Tommy...u might know him if u are familiar with christian rap...it's really cool, there is breakdancing, graffiti art, and of course, open mic sessions...but in order 2 participate in these, u must be a member, i used 2 go there, just for a little bit, i can't tell you exactly where it's at, 'cause i don't remember, but i'm pretty sure they have a website, try typing in www.crossover.com, or something like that...hope u find it...peace

There is nothing wrong with dancong, just remember that your body is a dwelling place of the Holy Ghost.

By the way, I think you could be thinking of Without Walls Church? They have a fairly upbeat worship time.

I would just like to state that listening to "worldly" music does not make you a sinner! You where a sinner before you listened to it, and just because you listen to "Christian music" does not make you "sin free". Music is simply man's way to express himself and often times this is done in the secular realm using colorful language, and other unnecessary devices. While I do believe that if that is all you fill your head with that it can be disatrous, having a digest of both "secular" and "christian" music is ok.

Any thoughts, comments, Please LET ME KNOW! :-)

Hershey,
You should clarify what you mean by "worldly music" and "dance." If you are talking about it in general then most Christian would disagree with your opinion. There is no suh thing as a "holy" style of music. Each culture and generation has had their own music style. They are not evil in and of themselves. It's a tool just like anything else. You can use it to Glorify God or to promote sin. This is done by the lyrics and not by the style or sound of the music. As far as dancing goes, you might want to research how many times dancing is mentioned as an avenue to worship God. In the same way every culture and generation has its own style. If you dance in worship to God and use music to worship Him regardless of style, it is pleasing to God.
